One of my favorite restaurants in Grand Rapids. The food here is fresh and amazing. Parking is tricky and always go earlier than you want to eat because they're often busy. The chocolate pudding is AMAZING!!!!
Since the mid-00s, during every trip back to Grand Rapids, I visit Marie Catrib's for breakfast or early lunch. Not a single dish is missing some element of "wow" thanks to the unique blend of ingredients they use. The Porto sandwich is an all-time favorite from the lunch menu! The open-air kitchen makes you feel like you're part of the Marie Catrib family. After you're finished with your meal, stop by to the store for some sweet treats to take with you. Several adorable shops around to check out once you're finished as well.
Took my special-diet elderly mother here for lunch, and she can't wait to come back again! Make sure to visit the deli- so many vegan and gluten-free, yummy options. Our waitress was just lovely, and our meal was delicious. Now they just need to offer vegan cheese options and I will be ecstatic!
Can't complain about the food it is excellent. We have a large truck and their parking lot (the whole neighborhood) is meant for small cars so we had to park down the street. But you must try the carrot cake. Wife said the BLT was the best ever because the bread is fabulous. So sorry to hear that they will close in the future.
THE BEST PLACE EVER! Located on the corner of semi-busy streets in Grand Rapids, is an adorable little restaurant that packs an amazing punch when it comes to delicious food. They're coffee (hazelnut and cinnamon are my personal favs) is delicious and their menu includes many options for people with diet restrictions. The staff is made up of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I generally go once a year, as I no longer live in the area, and it only gets better each time!
