Crazy pricey. They quoted us $360 to clean out our drain. It usually costs us $150-200. They won't tell you the price when you call. Then when you say no thanks they charge a $50 service call.
Last week we had water leaking through the basement ceiling so I called Roto-Rooter because of the positive reviews. Even before Matt-the plumber-was scheduled to come Leo-the supervisor-stopped by to assess the situation and came back again later to see how much needed to be done to dry things out.Matt came earlier than I expected and quickly figured out the problem and quoted a price. It took much longer than he expected because the very old pipes wouldn't come apart, they had to be cut out. I was very pleased that even with the extra effort it took the whole thing was done in 2 1/2 hours. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no extra charge for the extra time it took.Both Matt and Leo were very professional and polite. And I appreciate that they were friendly and gentle with my very pregnant dog.I would have written this review sooner but we've been very busy with 9 newborn puppies in the house !I will absolutely recommend Roto-Rooter and I will certainly call them again if I have a need for plumbing services.
Made a call on Valentines Day around 4 because we were having issues with our shower. We didnt expect anyone to come out on the same day, especially because it was already 4pm. Somehow Trevor was able to come out same day around 530pm. He came in very professional and very polite, ready to do his job. And he did just that, he did his job and he did an amazing job at it. Personally wouldnt go to anyone else.
I called on a Sunday, thinking that I'd be able to make an appointment for a future date. We didn't have an emergency-- just a problem that would need to be addressed in the near future. The lady on the phone paged the person on call anyway (just to be sure) and had him discuss with us. He agreed that we could wait on it until the week day so that we didn't get charged the off hours/emergency/weekend rate. The very next day at 8AM on-the-dot I received a call to schedule an appointment for the SAME DAY! I scheduled for 2PM to 4PM, and the technician showed up at 2PM. He was very helpful. Really happy with how quick the turnaround was!
On call person was Trevor. Came out very promptly to help with a basement drain. He was very educational and the root block was clearer. Thanks
