Very corrupt - they do not handle incidents by the law. Police Officer Troy Brown is by far the most unprofessional, unethical person I've ever met. Instead of looking into Nick Hopkins for running around with high schoolers for 15 years, they rather harass the people who actually pay their salaries. LOL, this police crew is a joke.
The EAST GRAND RAPIDS PUBLIC SAFETY is hear to harass you! Intimidated you & even arrest you for no reason. This tiny little town outside of GR is filled with racist police officers. Feel free to ride on the brand new Ford ECON. Beware of this department they are not here to serve our community but to harass our friends that come to visit. Also beware of the mess of construction signs all over Lake Drive they are meant to trick people into tickets. Hey they have to meet a the monthly amount! Like I said they are not here to serve us! We should be able to hire our police officers in town hall meetings and have social media background checks on them before hiring! & drug & alcohol testing monthly. Have them remember who is in charge who pays that salary! We the people!

Good and Bad apples, I've had great experiences as well as sour ones. Get a bad apple prepare to be intimidated and/or harassed. They really need to work on community engagement and building relationships.
