Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the customer service can try harder.
Honestly I this library is one of my favorite places in Grand Rapids to get some work done. The huge windows and view of the lake is great, and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. KDL goes out of their way to be welcoming to everyone. It's shown in the little things, like offering phone/tablet chargers, reading glasses, coffee from a Keurig machine, and posting a board with weekly questions encouraging community conversation. There's a lot more, but I'll cut myself off there. :)
One of my fave go-to places to relax and read with large windows overlooking beautiful Reeds Lake. Theres a very diverse selection of magazines, newspapers and books along with a wide variety of comfortable/functional seating. The Library sponsors many events & tours throughout the year. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Their online resources are accessible, thorough and very helpful. I come here often to do genealogy research since they have access to software that I dont want to subscribe to. I also find many audiobooks available through their system to listen to on my phone. They make it super easy to check out materials. Parking can be an issue, and I wish they had other locations for returning materials. But this facility and its staff are top notch and a wonderful resource to the community.
This is a very nice library. It is always very clean and the staff is very friendly.
EGR library has wonderful children's programs and play area. We visit a few times a week. Helpful and friendly staff, too.
