They offer plenty of activities and people are always there ready to help. They have the adult floor and then a floor with a section for the teens and another section for the smaller kids. Plus they give 1hr FREE parking, so you don't have to worry about paying a meter. Great place and great staff.
Ah, how I love our local library! Grand Rapids Public Libraries are wonderful, and the Ryerson branch (Main Library) is the crown jewel. Open to the public in 1904, this columned beauty stands tall & proud in the heart of Grand Rapids. With a large addition in 1960s, the Library is able to accommodate many guests and many more books.The staff at the library are knowledgeable and make you feel right at home. There are many study rooms available on various floors, and a spacious quiet room as well.TIP> Parking lot has one hour free parking with a validation ticket.
Nice traditional library that is stocked with great books and resources. Great place to take a break for the fast paced GR life!
I've noticed that for the budget it receives. Why is it that none of the other branched are open 7-days a week, and are not open when I can visit and parzoos book, or use other resources. Pitiful... for a family oriented city.
Just so no one else waist their afternoon like I did, they do not have Microsoft Office, nor do their computers support it because their computers are based on Linux (I know. Is it 1992?). Do not go there is you need wifi, lost a whole day worth of work because the bad wifi . These were two separate days, on different years, and I'm disappointment GRPL has the bar set so low with their technology.
