From start to finish, everything went exactly as Kevin and Brad from University said it would. Our driver, Mike, was a rock star! He was a great communicator and all around nice guy to have handling our stuff. He even custom packed a delicate, priceless art sculpture for us and it came through with no problem.
My move across country was an emotional and stressful time; I honestly had no idea what to expect from hiring a moving company. University Moving and Storage were top-notch professionals from start to finish. My moving estimate was seamless and Kevin was very knowledgeable and informative. He reassured I would have an excellent driver and team to move my home from Michigan to Texas. I was contacted several days before my move and updated on the timing of the packing and departure. Brad walked me through step-by-step, leaving no question unanswered. My driver, Tony, arrived as planned (he contacted me the night prior with his arrival time), explaining his process, introducing me to his team and swiftly beginning the task at hand. Tony and his team effortlessly packed my home, paying great attention to every detail (being very mindful of my great-grandmothers crystal); covering floors, wrapping walls and doors to ensure no damage. All the while, they remained personable and answered my questions. I cannot say enough how awesome this was, as packing my life away in boxes was an emotional struggle. My familys belongings were loaded, thorough inventor taken and I was again reassured they would be in contact during the journey with estimated arrival date and time. The truck set out. I was updated in the upcoming days by Tony on his progress across the country and to my excitement, the truck was able to make it on the front end of the delivery dates. In addition, Brad from University Moving and Storage was in close contact to assure I was satisfied and if I had any concerns. I had none, but it was nice to know they would be readily handled if I did. Tony arrived to unload our belongings, displaying the same concern for my new home, and he was patient, kind and very knowledgeable. He and his team did an amazing job reassembling beds, desks, etc. and they had the truck quickly unloaded. Impressive. They were respectful, kind and very professional. In the days following, countless boxes were unpacked and everything is intact (even Great G-mas fragile crystal). I highly recommend University Moving and Storage. If you are lucky enough to have Tony care for your personal belongings - BONUS!! Thank you for making this process less painful and for alleviating the burden and stress of packing everything, as well. I am so glad I used this company. We moved all the way across the country and they were professional all the way. No surprise costs. Everything went as they promised. Kevin, Brad and the driver Travis are the best!
Everyone was very friendly and took care of all our belongings. They made sure to keep things separate that we didnt want to go on the truck. All our items were packed very well, with great care and a lot of padding! We received daily communication with our movers and the company to ensure everything was going as planned and to see if we had any questions/concerns. All our furniture was put back together upon arrival at our new house that was taken apart to fit on the truck. At this time of unpacking, nothing has been damaged or misplaced. We are very pleased with this company and would use them again for sure!!
I wanted to thank you all for the hard work put in on the move from Michigan to Florida. It went more smoothly than I could have ever imagined. All arrived safe and sound. Colin the driver and his helper Jimmy were absolutely fantastic! Colin kept me updated and was actually early on Saturday for the delivery. They did a great job of getting it all in the apartment in an orderly fashion and their patience with my elderly mother was phenomenal!! Great Job!!
